About Fiaschetteria La Saletta

The warm glow of dim lighting sets a cozy tone within this second-floor venue, inviting diners into an intimate atmosphere reflective of modest European trattorias. Though tucked away from bustling streets, the charm extends beyond the décor, with attentive service that balances friendly ease and efficiency. Occasional glimpses at Fiaschetteria La Saletta reviews reveal a consensus appreciating this blend, even if some note the quiet upstairs location could cause the restaurant to be easily overlooked despite its undeniable character.

Red tomato sauce mingled with bubbling mozzarella frequently steals the spotlight here, especially the wood-fired pizza selections that portray both rustic tradition and subtle creativity. The menu features classic recipes alongside intriguing twists, with fresh ingredients that express a straightforward, honest approach to pizza-making. Photos shared online often highlight the thin crusts and vibrant toppings, which arrive piping hot and visually inviting. While the portion sizes suit those with a moderate appetite well, a few diners looking for heartier meals might find themselves desiring a bit more filling fare.

Browsing through scattered reflections on Fiaschetteria La Saletta restaurant forums uncovers appreciation for the temperate pricing given the central locale and quality of food. The experience feels informal yet deliberate, with an underlying rhythm to the meal that encourages savoring rather than rushing. Clean lines, simple furniture, and the faint murmur of nearby conversations contribute layers to the dining encounter, anchoring it in an authentic blend of comfort and culinary care. This quiet corner of Madrid's Centro area serves as a subtle reminder that sometimes the appeal of a pizza spot lies in its honest offerings rather than spectacle.

Fiaschetteria La Saletta offers delicious pizza at very pleasant prices, located inside the vibrant San Martin Market. The variety of options is impressive, catering to all tastes and cravings. The atmosphere is lively and welcoming, perfect for a casual meal. One important tip: it’s a very popular spot, so having a reservation is highly recommended if you want to secure a table without a long wait.

Fiaschetteria La Saletta was a great Italian restaurant. It is in a food court with the restaurant on the upper level (go upstairs from the street) . The restaurant signage is not obvious, but the restaurant takes up the entire inside of the right side of the floor. My family shared a Margarita pizza, a burrata and basil pizza and a porchetta appetizer. The pizzas were both excellent with crispy thin crust and great taste. I would guess that the diameter of the pizzas was about 10-12” (25-30cm). The porchetta was also excellent with crispy skin and juicy meat. The homemade tiramisu for dessert was light and fluffy and a nice coffee taste. It was nice that they served filtered water and not bottled water. Our server Francesco was prompt and friendly and spoke English well. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a great and affordable Italian restaurant in Madrid.

Highly recommend! Ordered the margherita and the burrata & basílico. I personally liked the burrata one a lot more. Salad was delicious too

My wife and myself are American, so there is a language barrier. We used google translate to often interact with server/host. They were very friendly, add great recommendations & frequently checked on us. The service was great & food was stellar. Glad we walked 20 minutes out of the way for this! Worth the walk

Love this place and eat here every time I’m in Madrid (3x on last trip with my wife, lol). Authentic Italian pizza that’s amazingly delicious. Don’t forget to ask for the hot chili oil to drizzle on your Breasola (or whatever pizza or pasta you choose).

One of the best Italian places I went to in my life including Italy itself! The chefs are Italian, the food was perfect We ordered Burrata and Basil Pizza, the cheese, sauce and the basil were so flavorful and fresh. We order the day's special, Ravioli Ricotta e spinaci with mushrooms and truffles and OMG, I love truffles but that one was super balanced and flavorful Our day had the perfect ending with this dinner. I would highly recommend it.

Been here a few times and it’s always a great experience. Legit Italian food inside Anton Martin market. Staff is very friendly and eager to help. But what makes the difference is the food which is amazing. Regardless of what you order, it’s a win. And during weekdays, they also a a daily menu available. Will keep going back.

We had two delicious Margarita pizzas with a beer, they tasted lovely and homemade, perfect after a lot of walking around Madrid! The restaurant is inside Mercado Antón Martin which is less crowded and more affordable than some of the more popular markets in Madrid and well worth a visit to la Saletta with its friendly staff, relaxed vibe and very tasty pizzas!
